Redevelopment Agency Projects

Attached is the Redevelopment Agency Budget for the next two years. Look in the columns “Fiscal 2006/07 Budget” and “Fiscal 2007/08 Budget.” If you would like to see $5 million diverted to street reconstruction, please pick out the line items that total $5 million and list them. Note that the budget numbers are in $1 million increments, so, for example, 1.910 means $1,910,000. Click “Reply to all,” and your selection will be sent to the entire City Council.

You can also list the streets that, in your opinion, should have priority.

You can check the streets that were supposed o be repaired in 2006 by clicking on 2006 Road Repairs, February 4, 2006, or http://www.tombutt.com/forum/2006_Paving_List.pdf.

Remember, however, that in the triage-modeled Pavement Management program, the streets that are in the worst shape are the lowest priority because the most economical use of limited street funds is to maintain those streets that can be saved. Redevelopment funds cannot be used for potholes, but they can be used for construction or reconstruction.
