Richmond Art Center "A Bay Area Legacy" 70th Anniversary Live Auction Celebration
September 20, 2006

My firm, Interactive Resources, is proud to be a $1,000 donor to support the Richmond Art Center Live Auction on September 30, 2006, beginning with a party at 6:00 PM and the auction at 7:30 PM. The Richmond Art Center is one of the best things in Richmond has to offer. I hope you will come on down and bid for some extraordinary art values. Click on http://www.therichmondartcenter.org/html/70_auction1.html for the auction announcement.

The Richmond Art Center (RAC) notes that the list of art donations is stellar and tells much more about the importance of the RAC than words. The criteria they chose to solicit artists for this 70th anniversary Live Auction celebration, was that they were to come directly from the RAC’s rich past of exhibiting artists and were chosen as to how many times they had exhibited in RAC galleries in their early and mid-carreers. RAC found that some had shown up to 11 times and feels that these early exhibitions are instrumental to artists in gaining local, regional, national and even international acclaim.

The first RAC art donation for the auction came from Ed Ruscha (http://www.artcyclopedia.com/artists/ruscha_ed.html) who is the most highly collected artist in the US according to last years museum stats.
