The attached letter is from three from three experts who collectively have over 80 years of experience dealing with planning, design, economics and regulatory approvals for port and industrial projects. These three individuals are also Richmond residents, voters and taxpayers who feel that the proposed Wildcat Creek Marsh marine container terminal is fatally flawed and doomed to failure on both economic and regulatory grounds. These individuals have asked the City Council to insure that the City of Richmond’s limited funds and staff not be diverted from other more pressing municipal needs to investigate this ill-conceived proposal.
