Free ice cream social in Downtown Richmond. A "no agenda" event, just a chance for officers and residents to enjoy yummy ice cream, chat, and hang out. Activities & Resources: Arts & Crafts, Chess, Giveaways, Crime Prevention info, (Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design) Training at noon.

Community Police Review Commission of the City of Richmond

The purpose of the Community Police Review Commission (CPRC) is to advise the City Council, City Manager and Chief of Police on all matters pertaining to the administration of the Richmond Police Department (RPD). The Community Police Review Commission also receives, investigates and hears complaints against Richmond police officers alleging the use of excessive or unnecessary force or racially abusive treatment and submits recommendations to the Chief of Police.

Save the Date Richmond Community Wildfire Protection Plan (CWPP)
Location: Basement (multi-purpose room), 440 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond.
This session will focus on prioritizing problem areas, prevention strategies and future projects. We also discuss a preliminary action plan and assessment strategy. This will help direct future grant funding efforts.

FREE “Limited Edition” Zumba Classes ~ August 14th & 21st              Wed. August 21st – 6 PM- 7 PM
Location: 1600 Nevin Plaza (Richmond Main Street office)
Richmond Main Street is proud to announce the return of their Zumba classes for two dates in August. Additional dates are in the works and will be announced, but for now come Downtown to get fit and feel great with Main Street Zumba! These free classes for adults will be held on Wednesday, August 14th and 21st, from 6:00 PM -7:00 PM, at 1600 Nevin Plaza (Richmond Main Street office). Both classes will be taught by certified instructor Willa Willis-Jacobs and will be offered free of cost (suggested donation of $5-$8; no one will be turned away for lack of funds. A bonus Zumba session will be offered at their upcoming Music on the Main concert on August 28.
