Washington School Garden Community Volunteer Days this Summer?
July 9, 2014

Kelli from Washington School's Garden program is hosting a series of Community Volunteer days at the garden to help maintain and improve it over the summer I wonder if you would be so kind as to consider sending out an announcement for us on your list-serve. We'd love to bring out the community to help improve the garden this summer!

Hello Washington Elementary and Richmond Community!

Hope you all are having a good summer.

In order to keep the Washington Elementary garden maintained and ready to use as an outdoor classroom in the up-coming school year we need some help with maintenance.

The following dates (see below) are our scheduled community work days. Please come out and help Farmer Kelli keep the garden looking great.  Kids are also welcome to come help but must be supervised by an adult. (This is not a kid drop off situation.)

2 Contra Costa Master Gardeners will be on hand to demonstrate some basic gardening techniques and answer any gardening questions you might have.

Garden produce available on site will be shared with the volunteers who come out to help. Possibly free seeds and plant starts too.

You are welcome to just show up or let Farmer Kelli know you are coming by emailing her at kelli@urbantilth.org
