The Contra Costa Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Advisory Committee is Recruiting Four Volunteer Members of the Public
November 22, 2013

For anyone who is interested and available a few weekdays per year, here is an opportunity to reduce use of pesticides in our county.
Contra Costa County uses broadcast spraying of herbicides in public spaces to control weeds, and also broadcasts large amounts of rodenticides. The Contra Costa Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Advisory Committee is recruiting four volunteer members of the public to help guide the county’s pest control policies and activities. Six meetings are held annually, in Concord on Wednesday mornings.
Applicants must demonstrate knowledge of integrated pest management and interest in and commitment to improvement of IPM practices in Contra Costa County. Applicants must live or work in Contra Costa County.

Applications must be received by 4:30 PM on Monday, November 25, 2013 in the office of the Clerk of the Board: 651 Pine Street, 1st Floor, Martinez 94553. All persons who apply by the deadline will be interviewed on Monday, December 9, 2013 starting at 9:30 AM in Rm 101, 651 Pine Street, Martinez. An application form can be obtained in the following ways:

  1. Calling the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors at 925- 335-1900, or 2. Writing to or visiting the Clerk of the Board at 651 Pine Street, 1st Floor, Martinez 94553, or 3. Downloading an application at http://www.contracosta.ca.gov/DocumentView.aspx?DID=6433
