Visit the Rosie the Riveter/WWII Home Front National Historical Park Visitor Education Center
home front 3This brand new visitor education center is located next to the newly named restaurant "Assemble" (formerly the BoilerHouse Restaurant) and the Craneway Pavilion. Visit their temporary exhibit, Kids in WWII: Imagination & Reality. This exhibit will debut on Saturday, October 12, 2013 and will run through March 2014. Learn more.
San Francisco DUCK Tours 
San Francisco Duck Tours at the Home Front FestivalTake a tour of Marina Bay on this historic amphibious vehicle, from the WWII era, conducted by the San Francisco Duck Tours. This FREE 1 hour, National Park Service guided tour will take you along the shoreline, both by land and sea, to explore Richmond's interesting past relating to the Home Front effort during World War II. Safe for children ages three and up. Tours leave every hour between 11am and 3pm. Reserve your seats online now.

Kids Can Do It!This year, the Home Front Festival is geared toward engaging our youth in their Richmond heritage. Video game truck, jump-houses, face painting, art projects, games and interactive activities for family members of all ages.
Kiwanis Classic Car Show
Kiwanis Classic Car ShowRegister to show your vehicle at this year's festival, presented by the Richmond Kiwanis International. The proceeds from this portion of the event benefit local youth programs. 1970's or older vehicles welcome. Learn more or register now.
Ride on Historical 1940's Buses to the SS Red Oak Victory
home front 4Catch a ride on the 1940's buses to the historic SS Red Oak Victory. Tour the ship and learn about its history during the WWII era.

Visit local artisan craft, information, nonprofit and business vendor booths set up throughout the Craneway Pavilion. If you would like to participate as a vendor,click here.
Food & Beverages
Food and beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) will be available for purchase. Enjoy food from local vendors such as Assemble, Philly Cheesesteak, C-Dogs, Mike Hutslar, and Go Go Squeez.
National Park Service Family Activities and Games
Browse the exhibits in the Visitor Center to learn more about the park and the history of the area. Children can visit the Park Ranger booth and become a Junior Ranger.
Rosie the Riveter Reunion & Photo
home front 5Are you a Rosie or were you involved in the WWII home front initiative? We thank you and salute you for your role in America's historical legacy. A photo will be taken at 1PM of all the Rosies who attend. Don't miss it!
