Free Mony for Energy Upgrades in Richmond
May 22, 2012

The City of Richmond will be hosting a sign-up workshop on Thursday, May 24th from 6:30-8:00 PM for the Richmond Recovery Rebate (R³) and Energy Upgrade California programs. As you may know, these programs provide generous rebates to Richmond homeowners for residential energy efficiency upgrades and solar installations, which greatly improve heath, comfort and energy efficiency at home.
Richmond residents are eligible to receive thousands of dollars in stimulus rebates to improve their home’s comfort and energy efficiency and the City of Richmond is helping to get the word out.  The City is hosting a free workshop where property owners can learn how to obtain federal stimulus funding and State rebates to make their homes more comfortable and efficient through the Energy Upgrade California Program and Richmond Recovery Rebate (R3).

Interested persons may RSVP at http://r3workshop.eventbrite.com/.  The workshop will be held on Thursday, May 24th, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the Richmond City Council Chambers, 440 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond, CA 94804.

At this workshop, attendees will:

- Sign up for a home energy assessment
- Hear from a local homeowner about their energy upgrade experience
- Get information about local and state rebates, grants and financing programs
- Meet local Energy Upgrade California certified contractors
- Enjoy refreshments prior to the workshop at 6:00 PM.
