Invitation: 2009 Economic Development Grantee Results
chevron logoAs part of Chevron's California Partnership, Chevron Richmond awarded $1 million in December 2009 to five organizations under our first-ever Economic Development grant program. Grants were given to support vocational training and small-enterprise development programs, with the ultimate aim of creating economic opportunities for families in Richmond and West County. On Tuesday, April 12th, from 1pm to 3pm, the five recipient organizations will report on the results of their programs, as well as engage in a discussion on the challenges and opportunities for economic development in today's economy. It will take place at the Richmond Memorial Auditorium, 403 Civic Center Plaza, Richmond. Chevron Richmond invites you to join in this discussion.

2009 Economic Development Grantees:

  • Catholic Charities of the East Bay
  • Lao Family Community Development, Inc.
  • Solar Richmond
  • The Latina Center
  • The Stride Center

Please RSVP to Heather Kulp at: Heather.Kulp@chevron.com by April 8th. We look forward to seeing you there.

You can also read more about the recipients in our Community Responsibility edition of the Chevron Richmond Today community news magazine, which you may have seen circulating this month.
