From Bruce Kaplan:

Since June, Point Richmond Music, Bruce Kaplan and his wife Claudia Russell, and the good people at the First Methodist Church (201 Martina at West Richmond Avenue, Point Richmond, CA 94801) have teamed up to present “Point Richmond Acoustic,” a folk and acoustic music concert series at the church. I am pleased to say that each of these performances have been a very special opportunity to enjoy some of the best acoustic musicians and songwriters touring the US.

The fourth show features folk and blues troubadour Peter Case. Peter is a wonderful performer and has been twice nominated for a Grammy. We really want to get a good crowd for him, as we know it’s going to be a great show!

The series is volunteer run - we make no profit on it, and in fact, we are subsidizing it. So far, we have averaged about 30 audience members per show. To continue beyond this current season, we need to get attendance to the above 50 range so the series is financially self-sustaining as well as worthwhile for the performers. So if you enjoy handmade music, and believe that bringing music to Pt. Richmond improves the quality of life in our city, we’d love to see you at this Friday’s concert.

Your attendance will make a difference – and you’ll have a great time!
