The end of summer doesn't mean the end of outdoor music and festivities.
The second annual Fall Fest in the historic downtown of Point Richmond, centered at Park Place between Washington and West Richmond avenues from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, will have music all day, along with seasonal activities for all ages. The music lineup includes rock by the Blue Lizzard Band at 11 a.m., Americana by Michael Van and the Movers at noon, Caribbean children's music by Asheba at 1 p.m., local blues favorite Tia Carroll at 2 p.m., country act Twang Ditty at 3 p.m., string band/dancing duo A Tall Order with Sierra Gold at 4 p.m. and blues by the Blue Hand Band at 5 p.m. The free admission fest follows Point Richmond's successful summer music concert series and includes an arts fair, food and drink pavilion and "fall-inspired activities."
The day is sponsored by the Point Richmond Business Association, Point Richmond Music, Parents Resources and More, and Arts of Point Richmond.
