See Richmond's East Brother Lighthouse on "The Islands of San Francisco Bay" TV shows

The TV show "Eye on the Bay" on KPIX channel 5, hosted by Brian Hackney, will air two back-to-back, 1/2 hour shows about the Bay's islands, featuring "The Islands of San Francisco Bay" book, which includes Richmond’s East Brother Light Station.   It will air on Monday, November 5th, at 7:00PM and Tuesday, Nov. 6th also at 7:00PM.

  • Monday, November 5, Islands of San Francisco Bay, Brian Hackney will surprise you when he uncovers how many islands there are in the Bay. Visits a Bay Area island city, ghost town island, and a great island for hiking and vacationing.

  • Tuesday, November 6, Islands of San Francisco Bay, Brian Hackney continues his series on the multitude of islands in San Francisco Bay, with a look at a South Bay ghost town island, among others.

The Bed and Breakfast Inn at East Brother Lighthouse is open all winter and offers seasonal room rates. In fact, many people believe the Indian Summer and winter months offer the most romantic experiences. There is nothing cozier than snuggling up in a lighthouse as the fog rolls in and obscures the world around.

East Brother is operated by a non-profit organization for the public benefit, and volunteer work also continues through the winter, weather permitting. To sign up for volunteer Saturdays, click here. The next volunteer work day will be November 10.
