Exciting New Calendar of Bay Trail Events in Richmond

It is time to plan fun Bay Trail outings for autumn. The new Calendar at http://www.pointrichmond.com/baytrail/calendar.htm  presents 19 diverse events along the San Francisco Bay Trail in Richmond during September & October. Be sure to click the link to the North Richmond Shoreline Academy's calendar for their outings between Point Pinole and Wildcat Creek at http://www.shorelineacademy.org/events.php.

Offered by the City of Richmond, East Bay Regional Park District, County Supervisor John Gioia, North Richmond Shoreline Academy, Golden Gate Audubon Society and the Watershed Project, the events include guided naturalist walks, birding, restoration of native oyster and black rail habitat, visits to Brooks Island. The CENTER RING MAIN EVENTS are the Sat., Sept. 15 CALIFORNIA COASTAL CLEANUP DAY along the Bay Trail at Point Isabel, Marina Bay and Point Pinole and the Fri. - Sun., Sept. 28 - 30 HOME FRONT FESTIVAL BY-THE-BAY.

Coastal Cleanup Day offers a wonderful chance to join your neighbors and friends to work towards the common goal of a cleaner shoreline for all to enjoy. The Home Front Festival By-The-Bay is going to be a huge success with activities at historic Kaiser Shipyard 3, the dramatic glass-enclosed Craneway of the historic Ford Assembly Building where the new Bay Trail will be open outboard on the waterfront and the Marina Bay Park green. The festival even features 5 & 10K Bay Trail fun runs/walks.
