REFINERIES 101 WORKSHOP:

Sunday August 5th 2007
12:30-4pm @ Atchison Village Community Center-Collins & Curry Streets
(where W. MacDonald meets the Richmond Parkway)

This workshop is to educate community members about how refineries work and how they pollute the environment and our communities so that we can better advocate for ourselves at the Aug 9th public hearing and in the future. It will also be a great way to better educate ourselves on what's happening with Chevron and their expansion plans in Richmond!

RALLY & PUBLIC HEARING:

Thursday August 9th 2007
@ City Council Chambers
1401 Marina Way South Richmond, CA 94804

6:30 pm featuring Community Speakers
7:00 pm Public Hearing – Come support & tell the Planning Commission what you think about this project! It is crucial that residents voice their concerns!

* Dirtier Crude means more Pollution for the Community and more Profits for Chevron!

* This Project is a great opportunity for Chevron to transition out of fossil fuel dependency and into true clean fuel production!

* This Project is part of other Bay Area refinery expansions including the Praxair Hydrogen Pipeline that will run starting from Richmond through Rodeo Crockett ending at Martinez and all communities in between!

* We want a Clean & Healthy City of Richmond!
