New Customer Service Internet Access Debuts at City of Richmond
December 14, 2005

With no fanfare, a new way to ask questions, post requests or make complaints via the Internet is now available through the City of Richmond website. It is called cor-connect - Contact City Hall and can be accessed from the City of Richmond home page at www.ci.richmond.ca.us. No one told me about it. I simply stumbled onto it looking for something else.

This new feature is apparently in addition to the GIS LINKED CITY SERVICE REQUEST (place a direct order for service here) that was the subject of a November 26, 20005, E-FORUM.

Once you are into COR-Connect, you must log in if you are a new user and then simply follow the instructions, copied below:

To use COR-Connect, please follow these three easy steps:

  1. Choose a topic and subtopic that matches the subject of your request. This will allow us to quickly and efficiently route your request to the appropriate staff member.
  2. Create an account so that you can track the status of your inquiry and response on-line 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. While it is not necessary to establish an account to contact the City through this service, it does help City staff more effectively establish a communication link with you.
  3. Write and submit your request.
