CITY’S ANNUAL FIREWORKS DISPLAY AT THE MARINA

The City of Richmond will host its annual “Third of July Fireworks Displayon Saturday, July 3, 2004, 9:00pm, along the Richmond Marina. Attendees should arrive early for the best spots, and bring a blanket. For additional information, telephone the Recreation and Parks Department at (510) 620-6950.

SPECTACULAR FOURTH OF JULY CELEBRATION ABOARD THE SS RED OAK VICTORY

Enjoy the Fourth of July fireworks and barbeque aboard the SS Red Oak Victory on Sunday, July 4, 2004, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Reservations are required for shop boarding purposes. The cost is only $20 per person. All proceeds will benefit the SS Red Oak Victory Restoration Project for the Richmond Museum of History. For additional information call (510) 222-9200.

MUSIC ON THE MAIN

In celebration of our warm summer months, the Richmond Main Street Initiative presents “Music on the Main.” On Thursday, July 8, at 5 p.m., Macdonald Avenue at 12th Street, the public is invited to come out to enjoy the sounds of jazz, R&B, and gospel. On Saturday, August 21, noon, at Macdonald and Harbour Way, it’s Carnival! There will be music and dancing. Mark your calendars . . . you don’t want to miss either of these free events. POINT RICHMOND MUSIC FESTIVAL 2004

Can’t get enough music? The Point Richmond Music Festival 2004 will not disappoint you. This year’s summer concert dates are:

· Friday, July 9, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.;

· Saturday, August 14, noon to 7:30 p.m. (all day arts and music);

· Friday, September 10, 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., and

· Friday, September 24, 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.
