Planning and Environment - Two Important Meetings

SHAPING OUR FUTURE COMMUNITY MEETING

The public is invited to attend a presentation of an illustrative plan developed from the results of comments and ideas gathered from Richmond residents who have attended previous community workshops about the Contra Costa County Shaping Our Future project. This meeting will take place on Monday, April 7, 2003, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in the City Council Chambers, 2600 Barrett Avenue, Third Floor. WORKSHOP ON REFINERY FLARING

The Bay Area Air Quality Management District invites Richmond and Contra Costa County residents to a Community Meeting to discuss Flare Monitoring of East Bay Oil Refineries. The Air District is holding three meetings to inform the community and answer questions regarding proposed rule on flare monitoring <http://www.baaqmd.gov/ruledev/12-11/r1211outline.pdf>. Note: The rule outline linked here is intended to help explain rule concepts. BAAQMD is still working on rule language.
