For those who missed the previous volunteer work day at East Brother Island and those who had such a good time they wish to return, the next work party will be held Saturday, July 20. YOU MUST RSVP TO PETE MARTIN, Volunteer Coordinator, either by e-mail pmartin@firedept.net or phone (415) 717-0164 or (415) 499-8028 (not  after 8:00 P.M.) no later than Thursday, July 18. so sufficient number of lunches will be available and  work items planned. If you have to cancel, please let Pete know. Meet at the Point San Pablo Yacht Harbor by 9:00 AM. We suggest you arrive early and have breakfast at the new cafe at the Harbor before we go out. Pete will be there around 8:15 / 8:30.

East Brother Light Station is on an island in San Francisco Bay and is operated as a bed and breakfast by a non-profit corporation. The island’s buildings, which are listed on the National Register of Historic Places, are maintained as a public service by volunteers using the proceeds from the operation of the inn.
