Rosie The Riveter Website
February 16, 2001

A massive amount of work has just been completed on the Rosie the Riveter Trust website. Check it out at http://www.rosietheriveter.org to find out everything you wanted to know about our newest national park. Rosie the Riveter Trust is a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation formed to provide support for the Rosie the Riveter / World War II Home Front National Historical Park. It is just one of several partners working with the National Park Service to fully develop the park. Other partners include the City of Richmond, the Richmond Museum of History and many other organizations such as TRAC, the California Coastal Conservancy, Kaiser Permanente and the East Bay Regional Park District. The webmaster is David Moore, and the content has been contributed by many, including Donna Graves, Donna Powers and Tom Butt. The website was originally developed by the City of Richmond to provide information about the Rosie the Riveter Memorial and its dedication. It has since been passed on by the Richmond City Council to Rosie the Riveter Trust to provide full information about the national park and its activities and mission. The first superintendent for the park, Judy Hart, began work January 15, 2001, and bi-weekly coordination meetings among the park's partners are rapidly moving the planning along. Anyone interested in assisting the Trust with its work may contact Tom Butt or Dona Powers.
